Water

Demand for water, both in North America as well as globally, has been growing rapidly as a result of population growth, urban migration trends, increasing demand for food and industrial development. At the same time, water supply has been constrained by climate change, pollution and aging infrastructure. Not surprisingly, these dynamics have caused the price of water to increase rapidly in recent years, both in North America and around the world. We believe that these trends represent significant growth catalysts for the numerous middle market companies whose goods and services enhance the distribution, treatment, measurement and conservation of water. Our goal is to capitalize on these favorable industry dynamics by investing in middle market companies that are positioned to benefit both from the growth opportunities within their markets, as well as from the strategic and operating involvement of the firm. Since water is the most essential element of life and industrial production, these companies serve an extremely broad range of organizations and industries, from municipal water and wastewater authorities to the energy, agriculture, food and beverage, technology, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and defense industries, among many others.
