Workman Publishing Announces Sale of HighBridge Audio

New York, NY

Workman Publishing announces the sale of its audiobook imprint, HighBridge Audio, to Recorded Books Inc., a leading audiobook and digital content provider, effective May 1, 2014.

The transaction extends Recorded Books’ list while providing a formidable new home for the HighBridge family of authors.

Workman will continue to distribute the HighBridge list. Algonquin Books, Workman’s literary fiction and narrative non-fiction imprint, will continue to license audio rights of select titles to HighBridge.

“Our affiliation with HighBridge has been exceptional, but it became clear as we looked to the future that Workman should be investing its energy in its core strengths. Along with the other Workman imprints, we will produce and publish the best and most exciting books and content in the markets where we excel,” said Carolan Workman.
